Spain is recognized as the most attractive country for real estate investment

In the coming years, the Spanish real estate market will continue to develop and offer new investment opportunities. According to Inmsa Real Estate, this is the most attractive country for investments in residential and commercial properties.

Mariano Capellino, CEO of a real estate investment management company, says that investors should take into account the difficult situation as a result of the military conflict in Ukraine. Some countries have suffered more, others less. There are those who have benefited economically. This is exactly what happened in Spain.

Of course, this is not an accident and did not happen overnight. The situation in the Spanish real estate market is approaching the final stage of recovery, which has been going on for several years. That is why the attention of investors who want to protect and increase their capital is focused on it.

In his analysis, Capellino examines the reasons why he considers Spain the most attractive market for real estate investment:

  1. Economic growth. The first is economic recovery, which has been severely affected by the pandemic. In 2020, GDP declined by about 12%, and unemployment increased by 7.5%. Everything indicates that this year will be one of the fastest growing, despite the current "turbulence".
  2. Restoration of tourism. The tourism industry, accounting for 15% of the country’s GDP, fell by 70% in 2020. This led to an increase in unemployment and caused the bankruptcy of many enterprises. But today, Spain is once again positioning itself as a safe tourist destination that will generate a lot of jobs.
  3. Opportunities in the hospitality, retail, and office sectors. Many enterprises and investors were forced to liquidate their assets. The decline in activity in the hotel, retail, and office sectors opens up great opportunities due to a significant drop in the value of real estate.
