Real estate sales in Spain will increase by autumn

Experts agree that sales will increase this autumn. “We expect more than 125,000 sales and purchases in autumn, which brings us to the same level as before the pandemic, but in any case, much depends on the development of the health crisis and the economic situation in the country, unemployment rate, inflow of new generation European funds, etc., ”says Juan José Aguilera, director of Institutional Relations of the Official College of Real Estate Agents (Coapi) of Barcelona.

Jose Manuel Fernandez, Deputy CEO of UCI notes that if in July 2020 the closing of transactions was - 4% compared to the previous quarter, then in July this year there is already an increase of 2% compared to the previous quarter, and “professionals are confident that that the trend of moderate growth will continue. "

The luxury real estate sector will also grow. According to Eduardo Crisenti, Managing Partner of Barnes Madrid, “We have very strong demand, especially in the deluxe sector, both for rent and for sale, as well as strong demand from investors, which makes the property market very dynamic.”

According to Vicenç Ramón, General Director of RTV Grupo inmobiliario, the reasons for such an increase in sales and purchases of real estate in the autumn of 2021 are associated with a general revaluation of the entire sector and situation improvement in the segment of multi-apartment property (both for purchase and for rent). He also notes the strengthening of Build to Rent program, return of free movement between countries, return of international investors, low funding costs and an overall recovery in real estate activity thanks to the return of domestic and international investors.

Jose Manuel Fernandez also points to the improvement in the labor market, thanks to activity recovery in sectors that have remained inactive so far.
