Spanish city with the best quality of life

Vigo has been chosen as the city with the best quality of life in Spain, but now the city of Pamplona has topped the rankings compiled by MWCC. We tell you everything we know.

Last May we told you that, according to a study conducted by the Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU), the Spanish city with the best quality of life is Vigo in terms of mobility, public safety, health services, educational services, cultural, sports and leisure activities, pollution, labour market, cost of living, real estate market and cleanliness of the city.

However, now MWCC (Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering and Architecture) has produced a report using Numbeo, the world's largest collaborative database of countries and cities, and has ranked Pamplona as the city with the best quality of life in Spain. It is also the Spanish city with the highest purchasing power and the third safest, according to residents.

The capital of Navarra was chosen as the city with the best quality of life in Spain in this ranking based on six indicators: purchasing power and cost of living, housing affordability, environment, safety, health and traffic.

In second place after Pamplona is Logroño, followed by Oviedo, Santander, Burgos and Valencia. According to the analysis, Cartagena is the most affordable city in Spain and Cáceres is the city with the most affordable housing (both to buy and rent).

Continuing the analysis, Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, Ceuta and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are the cities with the best climate, while Valencia has the best transport links. Finally, according to the ranking, the cities with the best medical care are Palma, Oviedo and Cartagena, in that order.
