A real estate crowdinvesting startup looks for investments and expansion opportunities in the world's largest cities

Real estate crowdfunding startup Bricksave, co-founded by argentinean Sofia Gancedo, is diversifying its portfolio and expanding its activities in countries such as the USA, Portugal, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland.

The company has completed financing of over 150 properties in cities such as Miami, Chicago, Detroit, Vienna, Barcelona, and Lisbon. The volume of investments reached $20 million, and their profitability amounted to $3 million.

But having gained a foothold in some of the key real estate markets of the planet, the "proptech" startup is not satisfied with the results and is striving for more.

Bricksave seeks $8 million investment

To expand its presence in national and regional markets, Bricksave strives to optimize its own service package.

The company's chief operating officer, Sofía Gancedo, said that the company has launched a new stage of financing, called "Series A", which will raise $8 million to expand the platform and scale of activities.

"While we are in search of new financing, we have engaged in raising funds from investors. We managed to collect about $2.5 million from investors from the financial sector key global real estate markets. At the same time, we are negotiating with several additional investors," Gancedo said.

In 2021, the company enlisted the support of the Future Fund, one of the UK's leading public funds.

The capitalization of Bricksave is $40 million. Endeavor considers Bricksave one of the six most promising startups in its region.

Business proposal

The company provides access to various investment instruments in the real estate sector. The yield of the instruments reaches 9% with monthly payments in dollars through digital wallets. You can withdraw funds from them on any day of the week within 24 hours.

Bricksave began 2021 with a $10 million funding of 86 properties. In an interview with iProgesional, Gancedo pointed out the strong faith of investors in their company.

According to The Economist, the company's high level of support is explained by the automation and transparency of its business processes, as well as an individual approach and turnkey services from experienced professionals in companies such as JP Morgan and Citibank.

The company's services are also affordable for customers. For only $1,000, investors can purchase small shares of Bricksave-managed real estate.

Sofía Gancedo became a finalist of WeXchange 2019, an annual forum organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as an award for outstanding achievements for successful women entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean.
