The Hyatt Group moves its luxury apartment business to Spain. In particular, to the city of Madrid, where it arrives with 22 premium tourist apartments from 300 euros per night, which will be managed by Hesperia and whose marketing will begin on 4 October.
Hyatt Regency Residences Madrid, located on Paseo de la Castellana 62 in a building owned by foundations managed by the Swiss bank Pictet, include apartments ranging from 100 to 150 sq. m. plus a penthouse of 350 sq. m. and a terrace of 100 sq. m. with panoramic views. Pictet consulted CBRE and Jones Day in the search for a major operator for this asset.
The apartments, the first in Spain, meet the highest quality standards, and their residents will have access to all the exclusive services of the Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid for personal care, leisure, mobility and gastronomic delights.
“We are taking our positioning in the luxury tourism market in Madrid one step further by acquiring a high quality asset and strengthening our successful partnership with Hyatt,” said Gonzalo Alcaraz, General Manager of Business for Grupo Inversor Hesperia (GIHSA).
For his end, the Director of Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid and Hyatt Regency Residences Madrid, Guzman Muela, notes that “we are very pleased with the introduction of this new accommodation offer, which will allow us to provide high quality services to our loyal customers, as well as open the door to new clients”.
In early summer, the Hyatt Regency Hesperia Madrid reopened, which has just entered Leña, a Dani García steakhouse that has arrived in the capital for the first time. The hotel, which became the first establishment under the Hyatt Regency brand in Spain in 2019, has undergone a complete renovation, where Hesperia has invested 10 million euros. The hotel has 169 rooms, 33 of which are suites overlooking the Paseo de la Castellana. In addition, the top floor has garden terraces and a private jacuzzi.
