Buying a finca in Cadiz is a luxury available to few people

Cadiz is an important location for the luxury real estate market in Spain. It is ranked among the 10 provinces with the largest number of premium homes in the country. 73% of them are located in Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona, and the Balearic Islands.

In August 2021, there were 774 housing deals in the province, the cost of which exceeds 1 million euros. 90 of them were "ultra-luxury", that is, their price was over 3 million euros.

The purchase of luxury real estate is not limited to the residential market. Large hunting and livestock plots also attract investors. Their cost is much higher than that of the most expensive houses. This property, in addition to the larger territorial area, has various advantages, such as hunting grounds, wine cellars, and its dam.

Luxury living in the countryside

Cocampo, which specializes in the Spanish luxury real estate market, has three properties for sale, located in Cadiz:

  1. The most expensive property for 7.5 million euros is a cattle ranch in the Sierra de Grazalema. Its area is 680 hectares, of which 300 are for agriculture, and the rest for animal husbandry. There are also 300 cattle and 500 goats. The ranch receives about 175,000 euros in PAC assistance and is located about 10 km from Zahara de la Sierra.
  2. For 7 million euros, you can buy a pasture of 1,200 hectares in Olvera. It is located on the border between Seville and Cadiz and Malaga. It takes about an hour and a half to get to each of them. The pasture area consists of meadows, woodlands (oaks and wild olive trees), and shrubs. Part of the plot is used for keeping livestock (cows, Iberian pigs, and goats). The old farmhouse is located on a hill and offers a good view. It is well maintained and has various outbuildings nearby, including a maid’s quarters and a carriage museum, which the future owner can use them for any purpose.
  3. A pasture of 520 hectares is for sale for 5 million euros. It is located a 30-minute drive from Jerez. It has cleared areas that are cultivated annually and serve as a food base for local fauna (especially for partridges and rabbits), hills with local Mediterranean shrubs, and forests with carob trees, wild olives, and stone pines. The farm has a reservoir and pond, two streams, and wells that can provide owners with water all year round. On a hill, there is a medium-sized house with a good view, a living room with a fireplace, a terrace, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a service area. There is also a house for the caretaker and his family.
