Overview of Costa de Valencia

The charming coastal area forms the Bay of Valencia and is bordered by 2 shores –Costa del Azajar in the north and Costa Blanca in the south. It’s an ideal place to enjoy sunny days, beautiful beaches, cultural events and the best national cuisine. Let's look at the features of the Costa de Valencia region and what kind of housing you can purchase here.

The crystal clear and calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea allow you to master all kinds of water sports. In the ports of Valencia, you can rent sailboats, go diving, kayaking, rafting, water skiing, and sport fishing. The climate and geography of the region are also favorable for many activities like hiking, cycling, paragliding, canoeing or golf.

The Valencian coast has an extensive cultural heritage. Historical buildings like the Serrano and Cuart towers, impressive medieval castles such as Cullera, Sagunto and Hativa, fortress walls, palaces and stately houses stand out.

The region has managed to maintain a balance between history and modernity. On the one hand, it offers a majestic Old Town with buildings, towers, castles and museums. On the other, you can also enjoy the wonders of the city through the arts and sciences like Spain's largest planetarium or the biopark, one of the largest zoos in Europe.

In addition, the coast of Valencia has an extensive calendar of special dates and folk traditions throughout the year. In each municipality, Valencians honor holidays with magnificent celebrations. The Feast of Moors and Christians, Las Fallas, Madonna del Carmen and Easter are some of the most important holidays. Color, horseback riding, music, and, of course, fireworks are the main elements.

Thanks to a highly developed tourist infrastructure, beautiful beaches and a warm, friendly and welcoming environment, Valencia is one of the most popular places in Spain.
