Warren Buffett has put up for sale 1,200 houses in Spain

Warren Buffett, one of the five richest people in the world, has put up for sale 1,230 luxury houses in the Malaga and Cadiz districts in Spain. He did this through his real estate company Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Latvia (Bhhslarvia), which specializes in the sale of luxury residences in Spain.

The houses and plots are located in the popular tourist area of the Costa del Sol, known for its beautiful beaches. The price of these houses starts from EUR 1,000,000.

The pricing policy of the region varies. There are apartments that can be bought from EUR 200,000 and more than EUR 1,000,000. This is not the limit of the maximum cost. Two luxury houses located in Marbella have a price of over EUR 20,000,000.

As for land plots, the price ranges from EUR 66,000 for 580 sq. m. to EUR 7,800,000 for 70,000 sq. m.

Buffet's investments in this area are due to a sharp increase in demand for real estate in the Costa del Sol.

The American tycoon has always bet on real estate. In 2019, he relaunched BHHSLarvia in Spain. The experience of working in the luxury real estate sector has been more than 50 years. The company is expanding its assets in the center of Madrid, in La Moraleja, in Barcelona, Aravak, Marbella and on the aforementioned Costa del Sol.

«The need of nationals for a separate workplace within the living space has become obvious, and we feel a potential demand for similar facilities in the Costa del Sol», BHHSLarvia commented at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. The growing interest from potential investors pushes Berkshire Hathaway Homes to work in this direction.
