VGP buys 35,000 square meters of logistics land in Barcelona

VGP is a developer, manager and owner of logistics and industrial assets in Spain. The company closed the most important deal and acquired 35,000 square meters of logistics land in the cities of Martorell and Granollers, located in the first ring of Barcelona. This operation is part of VGP’s strategy to expand the land available for development. In Spain, it already has more than a million square meters of pure land in various locations in the country. The plots are located in San Fernando de Henares, Fuenlabrada, Llis, Amunta, Cheste, Zaragoza, Seville, Dos Hermanas and Sestao.

The increased demand for real estate in Barcelona has forced the group to look for new locations in addition to the VGP Park Lliça d’Amunt. It will allow it to continue to advance its business strategy based primarily on finding first-class land and the ability to adapt its buildings to the specific needs of its clients.

The site that VGP has just acquired in Martorell covers an area of 20,000 square meters. It is located in a well-developed industrial area, next to the new logistics complex of the municipality, where large companies such as Fercam, Beter, Truck & Wheel are located. It is 30 kilometres away from Barcelona. The convenient location is also connected to the main ring motorways A-2 and AP-7, port and airport.

This area is in addition to the latest VGP acquisition in Granollers, in the industrial area of Coll de la Magna. In this case, we are talking about consolidated urban land for industrial and logistics purposes with an area of 15,000 square meters, ready to apply for a license and capable of accommodating a logistics building with an area of 9,000 square meters, as well as additional office premises that can be adapted to the needs of the operator. Equally well connected to Barcelona (30 km), it is located next to the C-17 motorway and 6 km from VGP Park Lliça d’Amunt.

Founded in 1998 as a family-owned real estate group in the Czech Republic, VGP currently has over 300 employees and owns assets in 11 European countries directly or as a majority shareholder. The company manages 8.56 million square meters of land and chooses the development of business parks as a strategy.
