There is still a lot of housing for sale in Denmark, and a square meter of area has risen in price by 22 over the year%

According to the quarterly report on sales and prices of residential real estate in Denia from the portal "Pisos.com", March 2023 strengthens a twofold trend in the local market. Secondary market housing increased in price by 2.9% over the quarter and by 22.2% over the year. A square meter of secondary housing at the beginning of April costs almost 2,700 euros.

Sales are growing and Denia, the capital of the Marina Alta comarca, is attracting more and more foreign buyers and investors. The housing stock also remains quite rich and can meet the growing demand, but all this does not ease the situation of local residents.

The local population is beginning to reduce its presence in the market, as prices have been rising for more than a year, and wages are falling. Income and savings are not enough to buy a decent home, and the increased interest rates on mortgage lending cut off the opportunity to get additional financing for purchases.
