There are 13 small towns in Malaga where you can buy a house at a price of less than 1000 euros per m2

Is it possible to buy a house at a relatively cheap price? A task that has become almost impossible in many areas of Malaga is still feasible in some municipalities of the province.

Taking as a basis the data of February last year, the Idealista real estate portal studied this issue and came to the conclusion that there are still 13 settlements in Malaga where the price per square meter of housing from the secondary market is below 1000 euros.

There is a list of these localities:

  • Teba – 533 euros;
  • Sierra de Yeguas – 562 euros;
  • Alameda – 591 euros;
  • Molina – 686 euros;
  • Humilladero – 687 euros;
  • Fuente de Piedra – 727 euros;
  • Campillos – 737 euros;
  • Junker – 749 euros;
  • Archidona – 774 euros;
  • Almogia – 861 euros;
  • Arriate – 880 euros;
  • Periana – 899 euros;
  • Tolox – 936 euros.

The common denominator for these cities is that they are all located in the central regions of the province, which is a key circumstance in assessing the market value of real estate.

To emphasize the low cost in these areas, you can use the example of Marbella, where the price per square meter is one of the highest – 3,469 euros. This is 6.5 times higher than in the town of Teba.

Idealista's research is also important at the national level. It concludes that the provinces of Valencia, Toledo and Granada have the largest number of settlements where the cost per square meter of residential real estate is below 1,000 euros.

There are four other territories: Baleares, Gipuzkoa, Las Palmas and Vizcaya. There are no settlements in them with a noticeable real estate offer on the market at a price lower than indicated.

Alcaudete de la Jara (316 euros per m2) Toledo continues to be the most affordable place in Spain. It is followed by the cities of Fuente Obejuna (341 euros per m2) and Belmes (370 euros per m2) in Cordoba.

When deciding to buy a property, several factors are usually taken into account, and price is one of the most important along with location and financing. But if you choose real estate only by price, then the most affordable properties are located in the provinces and small towns.

Ciudad Real has the largest number of municipalities with a price per square meter below 500 euros.

There are 8 cities in the province of Castile – La Mancha, the most affordable of which is Almaden (390 euros per m2). Next comes Toledo and Valencia with six and five cities. The most affordable Valencian city is located in the municipality of Benifairo de la Valdinha (430 euros per m2).
