Torre del Mar is one of the most popular locations among residential property buyers. A square meter costs here €1,944. For reference, the average cost per square meter in Malaga reaches €2,468.
“The pandemic has changed the housing preferences and needs of citizens, making it a priority to find spacious properties with plenty of natural light. This is the reason why beachfront properties have become so sought-after,” says Maria Matos, research director and spokesperson for Fotocasa.
The turquoise crystal clear waters of the bays are also one of the main attractions that Spaniards look for when purchasing a property. Cala del Moral, located in the municipality of Rincón de la Victoria in Malaga, can be singled out among the most popular bays for housing. The cost per square meter here reaches €2,519.
La Cala is the most desirable place to rent a property. The rental price of a local square meter reaches €11.03.

Among the most sought-after beaches where buyers seek real estate, the coastal municipalities of Andalusia also stand out. Most often, buyers are interested in residential properties near Matalascañas, where the cost per square meter reaches €1,202.
This region is followed by such beaches as Playa el Zapillo, located in Almeria, where the cost per square meter reaches €1,359, Playa de la Victoria in Cadiz (€2,708), Playa de la Barrosa in the municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera (€1,283), Playa de El Palmar in the province of Cadiz (€1,567), and Playa de Punta Umbria in the municipality of the same name (€1,709).
