The Balearic Islands showed the second largest price increase in the secondary market in Spain — 7.6% in YoY terms

In April 2022, the average price level for secondary real estate was 3,363 euros per sq.m. in the Balearic Islands. This figure represents a monthly growth (note: by March 2022) of 0.6% and an increase of 7.6% in annual terms.

Thus, the Balearic Islands take the second place among Spanish regions, which showed the largest percentage rise in the value throughout the country.

The "Pisos.com" portal published these rates in the report. It states that the Balearic Islands have become the most expensive autonomous region in the country to purchase a home.

In April of this year, the average price for "second-hand" housing reached 1,906 euros per sq.m. at the national level. Thus, the annual growth was 4.85%.

In addition, Palma, the key city of the Balearic Islands, showed the second largest monthly increase in property prices in the country — 0.05%, according to the rating of Spanish cities. In annual terms, the city demonstrated an increase of 10.28% and ranked the fourth among Spanish cities.

By April 2022, in Palma, the cost per sq. m. of housing has reached 3,481 euros in real prices. This allowed the city to rank fifth among the provincial capitals of the country. At the moment, the city of Donostia-San Sebastian is on top of the rating with a price of 5,686 euros per sq.m.
