The average time to sell a house in Spain is almost 32 weeks, according to Barometer on the current situation on the real estate market in Spain, prepared by Housell.
The data of this Barometer also show that buyers paid 8.67% more for housing than a year ago, while the price per square meter was EUR 1,859. The average house price in Spain was EUR 239,835 in 2021.
The average buyer in Spain corresponds to the age of about 46 years, who in 45.89% has a secondary education. Among the respondents, 16.12% had a higher education, and 12.6% graduated from primary school.
The marital status of homeowners in Spain is distributed equally between single (43.2%) and married (45.74%). In addition, 3.24% of homeowners are divorced.
Housell also pays attention to the amenities or entrances to houses for sale. Thus, 18.37% of the houses for sale are located near schools, and 29.24% have access to public transport. 20.34% of houses have nearby places for recreation.
The data collected by Housell in this study also shows that 13.71% of real estate stock in Spain is empty real estate.
