Mazabi buys a hotel in Cordoba and expands its portfolio with twenty establishments

Mazabi is expanding its portfolio. A property management company has acquired a hotel in Cordoba. The facility, located in the Jewish quarter, consists of 20 rooms, a Cordoba courtyard and a 200 square meter roof terrace. The family office, led by Juan Antonio Gutierrez, has bought the property from Hospedería Atalia and plans to turn it into a two-star Soho Boutique, El Confidencial reports. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. This is the fourth hotel Mazabi has added to its portfolio this year, bringing its total assets to 20. The company has a € 500 million portfolio in the hotel sector and is exploring the possibility to acquire 4 more hotels to expand this portfolio. The purchase of the assets has been carried out through investment arm of Atalaya Hospitality. Mazabi acquired an establishment in Puerto de Santa Maria (Cadiz) and a property in Madrid to open Room 007 through this company.

Mazabi also acquired the Barceló Nuro Hotel in Menorca in the first quarter of 2021. The newly built hotel, worth over 20 million euros, has 131 rooms and a 4-star category. The other two hotel assets acquired by the company this year are in Tenerife and Palma. According to data provided by the consulting company Colliers, during the first half of the year, total investment in hotel assets in Spain was € 1,094 million, surpassing the € 955 million recorded in 2020. Founded in 2009, Mazabi has assets under management of 250 million euros and currently manages approximately 1.7 billion euros for 40 family groups in 14 countries. The company is focused on consolidating, diversifying and growing its socimi Silicius, with the aim of generating stable income and new investments.
