Jerez is one of the cheapest cities in Spain to buy real estate

According to a study published by a bank, an expert on deposits and savings accounts, Jerez is one of the five cheapest cities in Spain to buy a new house. Jerez is in third place after Almeria and Cartagena.

Raisin analysts have calculated that it will take the average working resident of Jerez five years and eight months to collect 20% of the down payment required to buy a house in this city.

“If you live and work in Jerez, you will be able to save up for a down payment on your dream house in an average of five years and eight months. Yes, it is fast, and that is why Jerez ranks third in our ranking. If you are looking to save up for your first house quickly, this is a fantastic choice,” says a Raisin press release.

The deposit and savings account manager describe Jerez as “a city with a lot of character, attractive architecture, particular authenticity and amicable people.” “This is a paradise not only for wine lovers but also for entrepreneurs: there are many local companies and industries. The inhabitants of Jerez enjoy a high quality of life at a relaxed pace. Here you will feel like a part of the community,” he adds in his press release.

To carry out these calculations, Raisin experts took into account the average salary in each city and the average house prices as part of a study on the cost of living in cities worldwide. The calculation also considered that a potential real estate buyer would set aside 20% of their monthly income for a future down payment.
