CaixaBank has strengthened its position as a reference institution for companies in the real estate market thanks to a specialized model that has a network of more than 150 CaixaBank Empresas centers in the autonomous communities of Spain. Over 1,500 highly qualified specialists with a solid reputation in the field of business consulting work there.
In the international arena, CaixaBank supports its business clients with a range of operational solutions with effective territorial access to 127 markets in different countries, in addition to highly specialized managers – specialists in the field of finance and services, foreign trade and treasury, structural finance, tourism and real estate. The organization serves both small and medium-sized enterprises and microenterprises starting their export activities, as well as large corporations and business groups with more complex international projects.
CaixaBank completed the first half of 2021 with a turnover in the field of factoring and confirmation (payment and collection management) in the amount of more than 27,000 million euros, which is 2.6% more than in the same period of the previous year, and is the highest indicator achieved to date. This growth put CaixaBank first in Spain in the factoring and confirmation segment with a market share of 29%.
Factoring is a financial and administrative service in managing the company's payments to its domestic and foreign suppliers, who can receive invoices before the payment deadline. Over 250,000 suppliers have taken advantage of this service by making advance payments.
Thus, suppliers can use the advance payment line for all invoices confirmed by the customer, while this financing does not entail the bank risk of suppliers. In the first half of 2021, CaixaBank confirmed more than 15,000 million euros, which is 1.3% more than in the same period of the previous year. These figures strengthen the bank's position as a leader in the Spanish market with a market share of 32.4%.
In the field of factoring, CaixaBank reached more than 12,000 million euros in the first half of 2021, which is 4.2% more than in the first quarter of 2020. Moreover, the market share is 25.7%, a percentage that also puts the bank first in the Spanish rating.
